all the world is art

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted something. So, finals went well. I'm glad that they're over, and I can focus on other things in life. It's really weird though to know that this fall I'm going to be a junior. I don't see myself as an upperclassman yet. I kind of still see myself as a freshman still trying to figure out life and things, but I'm not getting lost on campus anymore. It's all really strange. I'm one year closer to being out in the "real world" as my dad likes to call it. Still not sure what he means by it considering I'm paying for everything myself aside from a few things.

I did get to go back to Daegu to see everyone again. It was really nice! I got to watch crappy movies with my parents, spend the day at the park with my sister, spend an entire day with my grandmother, and I even called my brother.

Work has been going well, and I'm able to get more involved in projects now! As for everything else the only other news is I finally got a new skateboard. It took me a while, but I was able to get the hang of it again.

As for summer plans, there's lots of working, probably a beach trip with some of my closest friends, and oh-! Jungkook and I are going to Vancouver! Which I'm super excited about. I don't know too much about the city so I'm eager to see it. Hopefully my English isn't so atrocious they won't be able to understand me, hahaha.

Life overall is going well, and I'm thankful for it. I eagerly await the new adventures that are coming for the rest of the summer.

Sometimes I find a gem of music that I didn't know about. This is one of them. Guess this is something else I'll have on repeat while I complete projects and things.

Just a few days of mid terms then spring break will be here! I'm so excited I could burst. I'm going to New York!! It's going to be so hard to focus on projects and just life in general when there's a trip ahead, especially one that I've been day dreaming of for a very long time.

I hope everyone rests up for the rest of the semester and eats lots of food. We're almost done! Which only reminds me that I'm going to be a junior next year. But, I'll worry about that later.

What are everyone else's plans!? Anything exciting?

Sometimes I'm sure there are actually rabbits on the moon. It would honestly explain so much.

In other news, my mother is keeping me updated on her dramas. She's now asking about my love life. I think I'll just keep avoiding that by asking her what the main characters are doing and if she's going to keep giving Kyungsoo recipes.

Classes are gonna start soon. What the hell? Can I boycott learning for like another month-.. or four?

Seriously though, break was amazing. I got to see my family, eat a ton of food, meet the family of some friends, eat more food, sleep, and even go adventuring at home in Daegu which I haven't been able to do in years. For my birthday and New Years Jungkook and I went to LA again, and he surprised me with a Disney trip. It was so amazing, and it was seriously the best birthday present ever. Not sure how anyone is going to top that next year.

I got lots of presents, but I mostly got to spend time with the people I love the most, and that was the best part.

Now that we're back I've started work again, and things are settling down to normal pace aside from me possibly getting somewhere with my art for the first time ever. I guess there's huge perks to being best friends with someone who's dad works in animation. (Thanks, Crystal ♥) Now all I have to do is sit and wait for an email and hope my anxiety doesn't get the best of me.

Even though classes aren't something I'm too fond of I'm really excited for the new semester. Things seem to finally be going right in life, and I look forward to what this semester brings me!

( On a completely different note.. )

As one of my final projects we had the freedom to choose any subject that we wanted. No subject is a very stressful situation to me, but Jungkook helped! He suggested that I paint somewhere I wanted to visit. I thought about Europe initially, but something about the skyline of New York City caught my eye. I think this happened after watching both The Amazing Spider-Man movies.

One day I will see New York City for myself, but for now it's just my final project. (Which I got an A on.)

Are there any places that you guys may want to visit?

It's funny how things change so drastically that you don't even recognize your life anymore. It's like a dream, and you almost wonder if that dream is truly fate or just a fantasy that you conjured up long ago. I guess only time will tell. Life is full of beginnings and ends. I wonder where life will take me this time.

Talking to Choa noona about things always makes me feel better especially when she thinks the same way I do. We were talking about faeries and if they might have existed. I'm a firm believer of the supernatural and things beyond what we see or can perceive. So why can't faeries and dragons be a thing too?

All the talk of faeries inspired me to paint!

It's final. I'm gonna be Spider-Man for Halloween! I'll be doing my kissing booth as Spider-Man, I think. I may change into my fox onsie for convenience of the mask. I haven't figured that part out yet. That will come later. But, I'm happy to be dressing up as my favorite hero! Hopefully I'll do Peter Parker justice.

October 3, and I am no longer a single man. Choi Sooyoung finally agreed to be my girlfriend, and I couldn't be happier. Best way to start off the autumn season. ❤️
